The second seminar held by the IEEE Computer Society was "Open Source Software Adoption: Anatomy of Success and Failure" by Professor Brian Fitzgerald of Lero and the University of Limerick, Ireland.

The Embedded Systems Australia cluster has been formed to promote embedded systems within Australia. In order to carry out this task the first task of ESA is a capability map of embedded systems provides and associates within Australia. You are encouraged to fill out the survey.

The papers for the Embedded mini conference at LCA in 2008 has been finalised. They are:

Pia Waugh of Waugh Partners gave a lively talk on the ICT deficit and a possible business model for improving the deficit.
Pia also had a One Laptop Per Child machines. This is a very well engineered product designed for harsh environment.
