Sonar and Seismic Systems

Automated Test systems have been involved in a large number of complex systems throughout the years. These systems range from sonar systems for both the Australian Navy as well as commercial sonar systems, sections of an embedded seismic system, vehicle tracking and vehicle monitoring systems, gaming machines, industrial control systems and building automation systems.

  • The Naval sonar system (LFAPS) was the first time an active/passive sonar system was placed on an active warship.
  • A commercial tape buffering system (VIP) saved hundreds of thousands of dollars in seismic runs.
  • TSS was the next generation following on from LFAPS and VIP system using solid core hydrophone cables. This system was ported to a distributed Linux s\ystem.
  • There is a seismic system currently being implemented, but it is under an NDA at the moment.
