Embedded Systems Australia recently held their embedded systems road mapping workshop. This workshop was to determine where the ESA needs to put it's energy so that Australia becomes a world leader in embedded systems technology. There were representatives from all facets of embedded systems including mining, medical and environmental. It was surprising at just how common the problems are across multiple disciplines.

From this workshop the ESA will produce recommendation on a serious of projects in order to produce demonstrable systems to showcase the capabilities of the embedded systems industry in Australia.
